Needs to be modernized urgently, the decor looks very "80s". But food, prices and staff were great!

Today after a 18 km hike I was very hungry. We were immediately warmly welcomed by the boss, who was eating himself 😊 Totally personable and courteous. Thank you for looking at the hiking map. The food was delicious. And fast. And really freshly prepared. The whole time I wonder how I know the boss Chef. TV? No idea. Thank you!!! We will be back.

The Gestringer Hof is a country inn with good home cooking. The food is great and the portions are large. The price-performance ratio is overall right. I come there several times a year and even a long journey is rewarded by the good cuisine.

The food was great! Super tasty and fresh. The salad was absolutely convincing, not a boring iceberg lettuce, but a great selection with a very tasty dressing. The steak was on point, with coarse salt and pepper, perfect! And even the fries couldn't be better, crispy, but still with inner workings. The service was also great, very personable and caring without being over the top. We were there for the first time, with 4 people, 4 different dishes and everyone was happy, satisfied and full. Many thanks to the kitchen & Co. We'll be back!

As always, very tasty. The owners are very nice. However, the restaurant is not one of the cheapest.

Sometimes very tasty and fast, and sometimes less good and very slow. So just 3 stars. But I would not advise anyone to eat here a few times.

One can argue about the taste of the decoration. Less is more . Would give the whole room more if it were minimized. But the food was delicious, the service very nice, which is much more important.
